How long does the tour last?
The duration of the tour is scheduled for 2.5 hours. Variations are possible depending on group size or other circumstances, but we try to follow this time estimate.
Do we enter the historic buildings?
No. The purpose of the tour is to provide an overview of Heidelberg and to extend the radius beyond the old town and get to know other parts of the city. Those who want to get to know the old town and/or the castle in more depth will find offers for guided tours.
Do I have to be athletic to do the tour?
No. We explore the city at a leisurely pace with many stops to learn about the surrounding area. The route is designed in such a way that we do not have to face any major climbs. The tour is suitable for those who can otherwise get around on a bicycle.
Do I have to bring my own bike?
No. Bikes suitable for the tour will be provided. For enthusiasts or bicycle travelers who have their bikes with them, there is the possibility of using their own bikes at a reduced price, expressly at their own risk.
Can I leave the tour before the end?
No. The bikes are needed for the next tour at the starting point and it would mean a considerable logistical and financial effort if these had to be collected and transported somewhere, which would also be charged accordingly. Individual arrangements are of course possible, but must be agreed in advance.
Can we register as a larger group?
We offer tailor-made solutions for groups of all kinds, e.g. school groups, meeting and congress participants, etc. Early contact by e-mail allows us to plan according to individual needs.
Can I learn how to ride a bike at Bike Romance Heidelberg?
No. The tour is designed for people who know how to ride a bike. At the moment we do not offer courses to learn how to ride a bike.
